About CUE: The Center for the Urban Environment is a place for you to make the connections you need to live a greener, healthier, and more sustainable lifestyle. Through our public programs, events, tours, and school programs, we guide New Yorkers towards a more sustainable future. The Center has been a vital resource for urban environmental education for the past 30 years and now, the growing momentum of the green movement has provided us with a natural opening to further extend our missions Over the past few years alone, the Center has launched five Urban Explorations After-School sites, served as the lead community partner for three New Century Brooklyn High Schools, helped build a thriving Sustainable Business Network NYC and led an annual Green Brooklyn conference – convening over 3,500 individuals, nonprofits, and businesses for a day of workshops and discussion around sustainability and green design.
